Peter Crawley has lovingly hand drawn, pierced and stitched a beautiful new typographic illustration of American novelist and poet Jack Kerouac’s quote — “What’s in store for me in the direction I don’t take?”.
Using a combination of hand drawn pencil lines and vector based typography to produce templates, Peter then pierced each hole, by hand, into a piece of 420gsm watercolour paper with a pin, and stitched his design using black and grey cotton thread.
The erratic positioning of the lines reference Kerouac’s notoriously confused and questioning personality.
As stunning as we have come to expect. Thank you Peter for sharing with us.
