Would have loved to have gone to see this fantastic retrospective on one of my favourite designers Anton Stankowski. Born In Germany his work echoes many of the swiss style designers at the time but I have always felt his work with colour and shape was always exciting and interesting.
Probably best known for his identity and marque work for Deutsche Bank which is still in use today but some of his more experimental work was very formulaic and art based, especially like some of his geometric painting work and his use of obliques. Well worth a good look through if you haven’t already familiarised yourself with his back catalogue.
