New type specimens designed by The International Office for Klim Type Foundry. I admire the output of both studio and foundry respectively, so this further collaboration between the two is nothing short of excellence.

In the words of The International Office, ‘We had often discussed with Kris doing a type specimen on newsprint. His previous specimens were small booklets so we thought this was a good opportunity to print on a larger scale. We agreed the talk ‘A Search for Tradition’ Douglas Lilburn gave in 1946 was a good fit with how we think of New Zealand design. Lilburn talks about how we have no musical tradition as we are a young remote country. Like magpies we take the good things we get to experience from larger creative eco systems.’
